This is a very important Report adopted by the Executive Council of the Ethiopian World Federation Incorporated October 2010 with a decision that it is in the publics interest that this document be made public. For the avoidance of doubt the organisation was incorporated August 25th 1937 is governed by a Constitution and By-laws. Article 5 Locals Section 1 (a) First unit of the Ethiopian World Federation Incorporated, in the City of New York shall be known as Local number one (note the word known as). (b) The duly elected officers of Local Number One shall be the International officers, except the President until a Convention is called and International officers are duly elected. (more…)

Convention 2010 Jamaica a great success

We the Executive Council of the Ethiopian World Federation Incorporated registered with the Internal Revenue Services, Charities Bureau and New York State Department wish to announce the successful completion of our Annual Convention held at the Willow Winds, Salem, Runaway Bay, Jamaica 2010. The event was extremley well attended by delegates from New York, Miami, London, Montego Bay, St Ann, Birmingham and Paris with other members from across Jamaica including local 43 Kingston. Many other members and visitors came from various groups Nyabinghi, Millenium Council, Bo Bo and others were also in attendance. Local guest included the Chief of Police from Runaway Bay also a Christian Minister who gave very good speeches. All locals gave reports also individual members kept a private session where we were encouraged not to allow any small group to distract the Fedreation; all locals in Jamaica agreed to work with whoever had the legal documents. CERTIFICATION 2010 FAILED ATTEMPT!!!!

BREAKING NEWS CERTIFICATION FAILED ATTEMPT All members and public be notified that an attempt to certify an election; was made by a separate company Ethiopian World Federation Local Number One Incorporated  1996. The above company along with others attempted to gain from the New York State Supreme Court; Certification for a meeting disguised as the Ethiopian World Federation Incorporated 1937 Convention 2009 held in New York. Part of the plan was to employ a court certified Parliamentarian who was expected to validate an election. An order has now been issued by Hon Judge Bruce Balter April 6th 2010; in line with what has been previously stated by the Executive Council the said individuals found the situation was not as simple as they had first thought. Meeting with New York Attorney Kiesha N. Brooks

On the 18th December 2008, the International President and the First Vice President met with Attorney Kiesha N. Brooks in New York to discuss the state of the Ethiopian World Federation Inc. It was agreed that Ms Brooks would be retained for the purposes of liaising with the Internal Revenue Service, the New York State Department (Division of Corporation) and the New York State Charities Bureau.
