Malwarebytes has a lot going for it, but there are some problems that prevent it from being the ideal choice for everyone. For instance, it costs more than its competitors for one device subscription. It’s also less robust in terms of features than other models.

Malwarebytes provides several layers of protection, including protection against ransomware on the internet Adware protection, malware and PUP (potentially unwanted programs) detection and removal. It has strong real-world security capabilities. AV Comparatives tests consistently rank it as one of the top products in its class (August 2022 to October 2022).

Subscribers who pay for the service will have access to these features as well as numerous others. They can alter the program’s settings by clicking on the corkscrew icon at the right-hand corner of their dashboard. This opens a tab that includes seven sections where you can alter the program to meet your needs. This includes notifications, how often it checks for threats you could try these out intelligence updates, and a variety of scan options.

The premium version of the software includes advanced features like exploit protection, which stops attacks that take advantage of bugs and vulnerabilities in applications and systems. Malwarebytes can also identify and block browser lockers, block in-browser Cryptojackers as well as stop other scams which try to steal your data or money from users online. It also identifies and block phishing sites. It’s unfortunate that it doesn’t come with the type of identity theft protection its competitors do, but that should be changing soon, as it recently bought Cyrus Security, a company that provides those services.
